PMP Audit Process

About PMI Audit
PMI does not audit all applications for its authenticity however it picks up a small percentage of applications randomly for auditing. This auditing can happen at any time. Application can be audited before you get the PMP certification or after you receive the PMP certification.

If your application is selected for audit you will be notified with detailed information for complying with the audit.

Audit will require you to submit following supporting documentation

• Copies of your diploma/global equivalent
• Signatures from your supervisor(s) or manager(s) from the project(s) and/or program(s)
documented in the experience verification section of the application
• Copies of certificates and/or letters from the training institute(s) for each course documented on
the application to meet the required contact hours of project management education

How much time it take for audit ?

If you provide all the mentioned documentation for the audit , PMP audit generally take about five business days to complete.

Sending the Audit documents

Completed audit forms & supporting documentation has to be sent in by regular postal mail or courier service. PMI does not accept faxed or e-mailed audits documents. For sppedy resolution of Audit make sure you send all the requested documents at one time .

After PMP Audit is over
Once audit is completed successfully you are permitted to take the examination and your one-year
examination eligibility period starts.

If you fail to meet the audit requirements, you will receive a refund (As per PMI’s refund policies).

However If you fail to meet the audit requirements after attaining the PMP certification , you are not entitled to a refund.
