Renewal of PMP certification

PMP certification is valid for 3 years and you need 60 PDUs within these three years to renew it further for next three years. If you don’t earn PDUs and claim it prior to expiry of your credential you PMP certification will be suspended. You will have one year after that to earn PDU and reclaim your PMP title.

You can submit PDU claims using PMI Certification System accessible from the Certification Program section of PMI’s Web site. This is preferable and faster method as compared sending the information by regular mail after printing the renewal forms.

You will get a confirmation from CCR Records Office if the PDU requirement has been satisfied or they need more information.

PMI’s Certification Program department will e-mail credential holders to notify them that they are eligible to apply for certification renewal.
