PMP Certification Suspended

If you don’t fulfill the PMP certification continuance requirement PMI sends the following email with details of certification suspension. The email is pretty much explanatory but you should not wait for your PMP credential to expire but rather than you should continue to earn the required PDUs and get it renewed before it expires.

Following is the email notifying that the PMP Certification Suspended

Dear ,

This is notification that as of your Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is suspended. During the suspension period (which is the one-year period following the expiration of your credential cycle) you may not refer to yourself as a PMP or use the PMP designation.

You can use your suspension period to claim the Professional Development Units (PDUs) necessary to renew your PMP credential and/or submit your certification renewal application with no penalty. For more information, please review the Continuing Certification Requirements in the credential handbook.
